Well, I’ve got a few different posts I’m going to put up. First, I thought I’d put some pics up just of our day we spent around the town. We really had a lot of fun, even the girls. As I said before, it was just incredible being in Tombstone. There’s was so much history around, even though the famous ‘days’ of the town only lasted a little over a decade. There’s so much history though…I could go on and on. Tombstone, in a word, was fascinating.
Visiting Tombstone wouldn’t be complete without seeing a re-enactment of the famous Gunfight at the OK Corral
The kids hitched their uncle Thom up for a ride
And we tried on some western clothes. Pink hats and pop guns were popular back in the day, right?
Now this…is just special
Back in the old west, people we’re displayed in front of the saloons after they died…usually when they were outlaws and had been gunned down by law enforcement people. The kids had a little fun at this model of “Billy Clanton’s” casket
As we said, we saw the recreation of the gunfight. And then posed for pictures with Doc Holiday, Wyatt and Morgan Earp
